As I’m sure we’ve all painfully noticed, the LA weather has been becoming increasingly hot. Today reached record heat (ugh) as temperatures hit 90 degrees. Hrm..
I was reading about this documentary that was going to be aired on television which claims that climate change is not caused by humans. These group of scientists are saying that ice falling from glaciers is as natural as leaves falling from autumn. There is also evidence showing that warmer climate in the Earth’s history came about 800 years before the rise in CO2 levels and that they believe that CO2 is not necessarily to blame.
“Scientists in the programme also raise another discrepancy with the official line [in An Inconvenient Truth], showing that most of the recent global warming occurred before 1940, when global temperatures then fell for four decades.
It was only in the late 1970s that the current trend of rising temperatures began.
This, claim the sceptics, is a flaw in the CO2 theory, because the post-war economic boom produced more CO2 and should, according to the consensus, have meant a rise in global temperatures.”
A professor alleges that the claims of 2,500 scientists that humans are responsible for global warming is bogus because the list includes names of scientists who disagreed and resigned from UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. A reason why so many scientists might supported CO2 and greenhouse effect theories is that their jobs depend on it as billions are spent funding these researches. Also, Patrick Moore, the co-founder of Greenpeace is shown in the documentary encouraing African countries to burn more CO2.
Anyway, I’m no science-guru and I don’t know if I believe this, but I think it will be pretty interesting to see what kinds of arguments come up. Take that, Al Gore!
Until next time, keep burning that fuel (just kidding?)
