Lotus Steps 2007

May 10th, 2007

Lotus Steps is an annual production put on by UCLA's Chinese Cultural Dance Club (CCDC).  This year's show was on Sunday, May 5.  The theme was "Inspiration."  The audience enjoyed multiple dances from the various ethnicities of China and, towards the end, CCDC featured a film clip that revealed the amount of time and practice that was put into creating and preparing for this years production.  The performances displayed a variety of color and excitement.  The different dancers wore lion costumes, exhibited feathers on their heads, held candles, and even thrashed their hair around!  The entire production was very beautiful and gave the audience a genuine sense of the Chinese culture and the Chinese cultural experience.  CCDC performs Lotus Steps every year.  Tickets for the show are available at CTO a week before the event.  For more information on CCDC and Lotus Steps, including how to get involved, please visit http://www.ccdcbruins.com/main.htm.
