This might be the funniest research proposal I’ve heard in a long time. A former computer hacker by the name of Virgil Griffith recently compiled a list of college student’s SAT scores vs. their musical tastes. The data uncoverd a phenomenon: stupid people listen to ‘Lil Wayne, smart people listen to Sufjan Stevens.

And stupid people consider the SAT as a good measure of intelligence rather than, oh you know, a guess at academic performance of a student’s first year of college.
But I guess if you ace the SATs, you’re that much closer to getting a Nobel.
