Baths is the pseudonym for one of Los Angeles’ most hyped beat makers, Will Wiesenfeld. He was a resident DJ at LA’s now infamous Low End Theory and today, he plays shows all over the country. His Los Angeles show on December 17th at the El Rey marks the end of his North American tour for the year, so if you still haven’t gotten the chance to see him, now’s the time to get those tickets.
I’ve seen him live twice and I can attest that his debut album “Cerulean,” sounds even better in person. To be able to actually feel the drops during “Maximalist,” or hear Will himself making cat meow’s to “Aminals,” is truly priceless. I’m still kicking myself about not going to see him when he played for free earlier this year at UCLA for the DMA Offworld Exhibition. But here’s my chance to see him once again, and a chance for you to see him too. I would say to get tickets as soon as possible, but i’m pretty sure that Baths will be playing many impromptu shows all over Los Angeles once his tour ends. You never really know where he’ll be playing, but for sure, you can catch him at the El Rey next month! It’s highly highly highly recommended that you do.
