Hey, I am going to be on campus today so thought I would drop by the station and hand over a c.d. for our band FIN. They sound like spontaneous Coldplay – Radiohead pop, worth a listen and hopefully a few spins. Just set up my live feed, station sounds great.
Thanks. Later, myspace.com/finfinfin

Hi. We’re a San Francisco singer/songwriter duo. Annie Staninec is a well known bluegrass/gypsy fiddler (she recently toured with David Grisman) and I write all our songs. We’ve just released a new cd, The Unkindness of Ravens. It was recorded and mixed by Lemon DeGeorge (Jolie Holland, Genghis Blues) and mastered by Paul Carlsen (Nirvana’s Nevermind). We sent a cd a few days ago.
Thanks, Alexei

David Ruffin Jr. is an array of vocal power: First and second tenor with an equally sultry baritone. He is on a major role in California with his R & B, Blues, and neo-soul sounds. You may be tempted to compare David to his legendary father, David Ruffin senior, of Temptations fame, but David is a singer in his own right.
The New CD “All My Life” is a melodic combination of keys, bass and an analog of beats that are out of this world. There are college stations around California playing cuts off the “All My Life” CD. Now you can experience David, yourself, when you pop in the hot new creation. Your audience, at UCLAradio will get a kick out of seeing David’s Sponsor an event at your school, too. Imagine David Ruffin Jr. walking on stage singing “My Girl” then debuting his hot new singles, “All My Life. It will be a classic moment in music history.

Just letting you know that I sent out a copy of my first album, “Snuff Film Fest”, to your station about a month ago.
I am a recording artist out of New Orleans. The music has been compared to Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana, and early Staind. The intended first single is “Necromance Novel”.
Any feedback would be appreciated and I would be happy to accommodate any other requirements that your station may have in getting this album considered for airplay.
Thanks so much for providing the indie circuit with such an excellent opportunity to be heard and enjoyed. Cheers!

Hi,
I’m sending you the new CD from my band The Crystal Flava Dawgz. Our sound is part crunk, part indie rock, part bloghouse, and part whatever. We’re from Brooklyn via Atlanta via Sweden via Japan. Our keyboard player is a hot lesbian chick and our drummer works as a PA for Gus Van Sant. All of us wear really tight pants except for the bass player, who only wears FUBU track suits.
Anyway, let us know if you want a signed band photo.

As soon as we print up another batch of CDs I’ll send you AMERICAN ZEN’s newest and third album, LEVEL 3 = I WANT YOU TO LOVE ME. If you don’t mind a handwritten CD I could send you one tomorrow.
My “BASS POETRY” is getting a lot attention. I’d be curious to see how it goes over with radio. Perhaps, “Let’s Go To Church,” or “Civilized World,” would be radio worthy poetry.
Let me know if “MUSICAL WOMAN” or “I WANT YOU TO LOVE ME” are too sexy for radio.
We created a website with song samples and downloads at: http://www.LEVEL3iWANTyoutoLOVEme.com
Thanks for checking it out. Sorry I haven’t been sending you CDs.
Hey, Since I graduated the UCLA FILM SCHOOL in 1987, should I send you my past two albums also? Do I get special treatment?
Heehee.

You might find this interesting.
We refer to it as “Analog Music from a Lost World” — previously unreleased post-punk experimental rock from 1981, unlike anything else recorded before or after.
Jason Sigal, Managing Director at WFMU said:
“This is amazing stuff and we would be honored to feature it in wfmu’s curated portal on the free music archive. I’m very sorry for our slow response, we have a lot of stuff to wade through to find gems like these.”
